    Groundbreaking research finds new advantages

In my opinion, the growing medical acceptance of anabolic steroid therapy for age-related hormonal decline (androgen) in men is remarkable. Finally, this resurgence follows a period of stigmatisation lasting two decades. For quite a while, most men who suffered from the negative effects of the "low T" had few opportunities. They searched the black market or just found themselves with it. Today, medical treatment is normal. Of course, doctors are pretty limited in what they can prescribe. Testosterone gels... testosterone syringes... and a few less popular testosterone supplements next to them. That's pretty much everything. There may soon be a change: A paper published in the journal Translational Andrology and Urology makes a first move to introduce a completely different steroid into the treatment dish for male hormone replacement therapy (HET): Nandrolone Decanoate. 1

The paper begins with an overview of the clinical history of… [Weiterlesen]

Nandrolone still detectable after nine months

The anabolic steroid Nandrolone decanoate (Deca-Durabolin) can still be detected in some people up to nine months after taking it - says a study by the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Participants received a dose of 150 milligrams of Nandrolone decanoate and then experienced a monitoring of their urine in search of nandrolone and two related metabolites (19-norandrosterone and 19-noretiocholanolone). Nandrolone is a steroid infamous among athletes, which is associated with the closure of Olympic medal winners Linford Christie, Merlene Ottey, Marion Jones and Dieter Baumann. The duration of the degradation of the remedy varies greatly, for example, it was no longer detectable after 30 days for some athletes and after nine months for others. Factors such as dosage, duration of intake, body fat percentage and genetic degradation rate are responsible for these strong variations. It is advisable not to rely on tables with alleged… [Weiterlesen]

And that's good news. And I'll explain why it's good to take personal responsibility for your weight loss.

    Careful, I'm not sparing anyone.

When I was a fat boy I had a thousand excuses for my size. Most of them I found in my surroundings: I was fat because of things I couldn't do anything about. These were lies and self-deception, of course, simple justifications to make me feel better.
In short, I took no responsibility for my condition. Luckily, I realized how wrong I was. I even wrote down a mantra that I bleed myself several times a day.

    The Mantra
"The condition of my body is entirely my fault. It's my fault. I let myself go. I was just eating trash. I'm the only one responsible and only I can fix it."That worked. I've lost about 30 kilos of fat and built up 12 kilos of muscle. On the way there were mistakes and long periods in which nothing happened. But I also learned important things for life - hard, heartless lessons that have been proven outside the gym.

What happens if you take "too many" proteins?

Even if you do your own research (or add hundreds of weightlifters, alternatively), you probably won't get an exact answer to the question of the optimal amount of protein for muscle building. However, if you leave out the special cases and the average, you will probably get something like 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per kilogram.

All right, but what happens if you exceed that value several times over?
Strangely enough, instead of taking in a lot of unnecessary calories, weight lifters with a high protein intake have lost a lot of body fat.

    The study
To see what happens when weight lifters consume more than the generally accepted optimal consumption of protein, Dr. Joey Antonio has (but experienced) an 8-week study on 48 leisure weight lifters. Each of them reported in the last few years that they have absorbed 2 grams of protein per kilogram every day.

Antonio and his colleagues have divided the group into two. The first group… [Weiterlesen]
